Say I Love You

Some people find it extremely hard to say the L word to someone else, especially when it comes to close family members. There seems to be a feeling that everyone should simply already know that they are loved, and that actually saying it out loud is unnecessary and even awkward. However, being able to say I love you (and mean it) is important. Not only does it make those people feel wanted and needed, but it also makes the person saying it realize just how much has been done for them throughout their lives. It is likely to be more than you thought.

Being able to say I love you, then, is a wonderful way to make people happy and to feel happy yourself. The more you say it, the more you will hear it, and you will know that you are an important part of other people’s lives.

By learning to truly forgive others, you will find that you are much happier. There will have been moments in your life where you have been upset, let down, even betrayed. Say No

Being able to say no when you need and want to is a massively important way to be happy in life. If you constantly say yes to people and take on more and more in your life, you may be pleasing them, but you will also be overwhelmed, and this can lead to burnout, anxiety, and depression. It can even affect you physically by raising your blood pressure, causing headaches, and perhaps even affecting your heart in a negative way. Learning to say no is one of the most important life skills you can develop if you want to be as happy as possible all the time. When you say no to things you don’t want to do, you can then really focus on the things you do want to do, increasing your happiness even more.

Do What You Enjoy

Following on from the last point, what is it that makes you happy? What are your passions in life? These are the things that you should never forget about or allow to drop away from your life. If you don’t pay attention to them, you can easily become caught up in other activities and perhaps even additional work, and find that you no longer have any time to enjoy what you once loved to do. It is essential that you always keep room for them in your life and this will help you keep you happy.

Remember also that these are your passions and your hobbies. They are what you like to do, and what, perhaps, you are also good at (although this is not a prerequisite). Don’t let other people try to tell you that what you enjoy doing is boring or stupid or ‘uncool’ or any other derogatory terms. Everyone is different, and if you have found something that makes you happy, keep at it.

Go Out And Have Fun

Although it can be tempting to stay at home as much as possible, going out and having fun can actually make you a happier person. You will get to experience new things and meet new people, and no matter what you do the idea is to have fun. You can do anything you want, and that is also something that should make you feel happy; you have the freedom to do what you please. That means eating a good, well-balanced diet as well as exercising regularly. Work Towards Goals
